In a bleak and oppressive city, you are consumed by self-doubt and social pressure. You walk through the crowd with your head down, where everyone wears a mask of fake smiles, mechanically repeating their lives. That is until you step into the grotesque candy shop, NO sugar. The clerk says with exaggeration, "Life is a bit bitter, so have a piece of candy." As you bite into the candy, your mind explodes; colorful little candy monsters transform into manifestations of your inner turmoil, mockingly ridiculing your insecurities. In Brain Roast, you shatter these manifestations through fast-paced QTEs: tap and strike repeatedly, making them twist, crack, and scatter within your candy-colored mind. Every shattering is a moment of psychological relief and self-liberation.
